Exciting new developments in the field of Psychedelic Therapies are underway and coming to a town near you! Oregon is leading the way with the passage of Measure 109 that allows Psilocybin Assisted therapy to be available to Oregon residents. I recently attended a conference that was steeped in research showing the efficacy in treating everything from PTSD, depression and anxiety to addiction, disordered eating and dementia with plant-based medicine. John Hopkins Center for Psychedelic and Consciousness Research, found here, has great information on the work they are doing. The rollout will be 2023 but will take time to get it all up and running as they take a thoughtful and methodical approach to each and every part of the process. I am exploring bringing Psilocybin Assisted therapy to my practice and will keep you updated on how it will unfold.
